What is laser cladding?
-
Laser cladding is a process that uses a high power laser beam to fuse a coating on a substrate. Added filler metal and a thin layer of the substrate melt to form a pore and crack-free coating which is perfectly bonded with limited dilution. This enables both materials to retain their original properties. As a result, surface properties of treated components are improved, thus considerably extending the service life.
